We had a call from the owner of this home who was looking for gutter cleaning in Oxford. His gutters were full of moss and he said the birds kept flying into the gutter and throwing it onto his garden which was quite annoying.

He had just had new grass laid and didn’t want the moss ruining his new lawn. We gave him a quote to clear the gutters over the phone which he immediately agreed to.

He also had a small bay window roof and gutter that needed clearing on the ground floor. I got up the ladder and took a photo of the gutters which were full to the brim with moss.

It was now time to clear all the guttering and unblock the downpipes, I also check all the gutters joints for leaks. Armed with my ladder and a bucket i was ready to tackle this mess quickly and efficiently.

Clearing and cleaning of gutters is usually missed on the list of things to do in a property, but it’s one of the most important jobs that should be on a list! blocked and poorly running gutters can cause internal damp and mould problems in the home causing very expensive repair bills.

Once all the guttering was cleared we showed him the before and after photos. He was shocked at how full up they were but he was happy with the end result.

Gutter Cleaning in Abingdon

GUTTER CLEANING IN ABINGDON

We received a call from a regular customer of ours who was looking for gutter cleaning in Abingdon.

He has used us several times before so he was confident that we would do a great job. We arranged to go out and see the property that day after work and upon jumping up a ladder i could see that the gutters and roof valleys were full up with moss.

I arranged with him to come back the following week to complete the works needed to get the gutters and roof valleys back to good working order. It was a dry day so it was easy to clear the guttering and check all the joints over for leaks. 

Starting the clearing of the roof valleys first, then onto the guttering and downpipes! the job only took about an hour and a half from start to finish with both of us being happy with the end result, so happy that he even booked in again next year.

He was advised that gutter cleaning and maintenance should be done annually, especially if you have lots of moss or overhanging trees.
